The race is over, but remember the finish line is not yet in sight

Minggu pagi tanggal 18 Desember 2011, sebanyak kurang lebih 1.100 anak marjinal turut berpartisipasi dalam acara Fun Run yang diadakan oleh surat kabar Jakarta Globe. Adik-adik telah mulai berdatangan sejak jam 6 pagi. Mereka berasal  dari delapan wilayah binaan Sahabat Anak, dan mitra dari wilayah lain seperti Depok, Kebon Singkong, Buaran, Klender, Jati Asih, Senen, Panglima Polim; serta anak2 dari organisasi ISCO, Himata dan KDM juga ikut meramaikan.

In the last couple of months Sahabat Anak’s secretariat and Children’s Activity Centre (Pusat Kegiatan Anak – PKA) has been undergoing some serious renovations. This house has been an important part of Sahabat Anak’s history as it has seen the formation and development of the Sahabat Anak community over the years. It was here, in 1997, that the first Sahabat Anak Jamboree was organised.

Jakarta Globe Fun Run – Press Conference

This weekend, on Sunday 18 December, Sahabat Anak volunteers and children will be participating in the 2011 Jakarta Globe Fun Run. The Fun Run is an initiative by Jakarta Globe to give back to the community by supporting Sahabat Anak. It will be a great day with guest appearances from celebrities and some awesome prizes up for grabs. For those who enter the race the lucky draw prize is a brand new car!!
